Dalija Acin Thelander's lecture and workshop for professionals

A special guest from Sweden! Are you interested in creating immersive performances for children with diverse developmental backgrounds? The Bravo! Festival offers a free, two-day professional workshop titled Creating immersive performances and artistic experiences for children with diverse developmental profiles. The workshop will be held in English.

Time:
March 12–13, 2026, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
Lecture open to all on March 12, 10 a.m.–12 p.m.
Location: Annantalo, Annankatu 30, Helsinki
Language: English
The workshop is intended for professionals such as dancers, directors, choreographers, performers, theater makers, performance artists, etc.

The workshop aims to provide practical knowledge on creating performances and artistic experiences for children with diverse developmental profiles, rooted in Dalija Acin Thelander's extensive artistic and academic research. Participants will engage in a brief creative process based on the core principles of Dalija's Sensuous Performative Ecologies practice, while fostering dialogue, exchange, critical thinking, and experimentation. The workshop inspires artists to create while critically rethinking the conception and implementation of formats and methods in their practice.

The program consists of a lecture open to everyone and a workshop. You can register for just the lecture or for both. Please note! The workshop is full! The workshop has room for 20 people. There is still room for the lecture.
