Performing arts by children, for children, or with children – course at the Art University Helsinki, March 13–22, 2026

During the spring semester, the University of the Arts Helsinki Open University is offering a two-credit course entitled Performing Arts for Children, about Children, or with Children. The course is being organized in collaboration with the Bravo! festival.

Bravo! festival

Bravo! is a festival organised by Assitej Finland in cooperation with the cultural offices of the cities of the Helsinki Metropolitan Area. The Bravo! festival is a collaboration between Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa and Assitej Finland, which was established in 2000 when Helsinki was one of the European Capitals of Culture. Bravo! is a major event for children's culture, which cooperates with a wide range of national and international performing arts organisations for children and young people. In addition to visits to performances, the festival organises seminars, workshops and other side events to raise the profile of performing arts for children and young people.
