Pyykki - Lost in Laundryland is Company Portmanteau's latest production, created in collaboration with award-winning visual artist Helga Stentzel.

The performance delves into the inventive and magical world of “domestic surrealism.” The work seeks magic in everyday things, drawing inspiration from Stentzel’s “Clothing Line Animals” photo series. Using optical illusions, the performance transforms everyday objects and clothing into playful characters and animals, combining circus, dance, puppet theater, and new magic.

The performance tells the story of two friends who, in order to solve the mystery of a missing sock while doing laundry, travel to a surreal world where they encounter imaginative characters hanging on clotheslines. What began as an everyday chore gradually transforms into a magical universe of small visual delights.

The 2025 Pikku ITU performance is suitable for the whole family.
