What can you hold on to when the future offers nothing but uncertainty and the horror of a lifeless existence pounds in the back of your mind? When did life slip away into the horizon, leaving you behind to watch, searching for certainty in the predictions formed on the surface of toast?

“Fear Has Big Eyes” is a solo performance constructed using object theater and movement, in which the human physiological threat system becomes overheated. The work explores the individual's ability to cope with everyday fears when the future is unclear, the sense of control is only an illusion, and constant worry lurks around every corner. The inevitable finiteness of life casts a dark shadow over everyday struggles.

Is there still time to wait and plan, to find the best possible moments among those on offer? Is it okay to settle for the small and ordinary when it comes to the one and only LIFE? What if one morning you realize that all those hopes and dreams you were supposed to fulfill have been lost somewhere in the noise of the past... and life has gone down the drain.

Recommended age: 11+. Duration: approx. 45 min. The performance is almost wordless.
