Open Call: Directors in TYA – International Exchange Program

Every other year, ASSITEJ Germany organizes an international directors’ seminar—an exchange program called “Directors in TYA” (Theater for Young Audiences). In the program, 25 directors of performing arts for children and young people from around the world meet, network, exchange ideas, and work together. The program has been very popular and offers a great opportunity to meet other professionals in the field and learn new things.

This time, the theme is “CREATING COMMON SPACES.” How are open spaces shared by everyone created? How do people shape them? And how can the concept of open, communal spaces serve as a starting point for performing arts aimed at children and young people?

Assitej Finland may nominate one applicant for the program. Note: This call for applications is primarily aimed at freelancers, but others are also welcome to apply. Assitej Germany will cover accommodation and meals, while Assitej Finland will provide a travel grant for Assitej members. The program will only take place if sufficient funding is secured.
